Join us for a special evening featuring a screening of the Emmy Award-winning documentary Journey of the Universe, followed by an engaging conversation with filmmakers Prof. Mary Evelyn Tucker and Prof. John Grim, co-directors of the Yale Forum on Religion and Ecology. Bio for John Grim and Mary Evelyn Tucker

Mary Evelyn Tucker and John Grim are co-directors of the Yale Forum on Religion and Ecology. They are faculty with the Yale Center for Environmental Justice at the Yale School of the Environment. They organized 10 conferences on World Religions and Ecology at Harvard and were series editors for the 10 resulting volumes from Harvard. Grim’s research is in Native American Traditions, and he edited Indigenous Traditions and Ecology. Tucker’s research is in Asian traditions, especially Confucianism and she co-edited Confucianism and EcologyBuddhism and Ecology, and Hinduism and Ecology. She has authored with Grim, Ecology and Religion. They co-edited the Routledge Handbook of Religion and Ecology with Willis Jenkins. They are editors for the series on Ecology and Justice from Orbis Books. They also edited the books of Thomas Berry, including Selected Writings. They published Thomas Berry: A Biography with Andrew Angyal. With Brian Swimme, they created a multimedia project  Journey of the Universewhich includes an Emmy Award winning film, book, podcasts, and online courses. They have created a website for Ecological Civilization as it is emerging in China.
